Amanda Li

APHA Kaiser Permanente Community Health Fellow, Climate for Health

Amanda Li (she/her) recently graduated from the University of Washington in the Department of Global Health with an MPH. She also holds a BA in Environmental Studies-Biology from Whitman College.

With experience in telehealth access, rural cardiovascular health, and HIV, Amanda is passionate about expanding her public health knowledge and advocating for marginalized communities. During her master’s program, Amanda specialized in health equity work. She was a Health Equity Scholar with the Pacific Hospital Preservation & Development Authority. Her project sought to better understand facilitators and barriers to telehealth access among elderly and immigrant Asian American communities and to propose recommendations for funding organizations to improve PHPDA’s health equity efforts. Amanda was also a Research Assistant with the Rural PRO-CARE Network, an American Heart Association funded project focused on improving rural access to cardiovascular healthcare.

Through this fellowship, Amanda supports the Climate for Health program, a national initiative to build climate leadership and action in the health sector, advancing equitable solutions that protect personal and community health.
