Vice President, Finance and Administration

Prior to joining ecoAmerica, Ayo was an Associate Director at S&P Global Ratings, where she analyzed corporate credit, financial performance, and capital structures. She previously held finance and investment leadership roles across real estate and private equity in the United States and West Africa, including leading Avania Investments, a company she founded, and serving as Head of Finance and Strategy at Primrose Development. Ayo began her career in public accounting, including at KPMG, where she worked on audits of major nonprofit and quasi-governmental organizations such as AARP, the Fannie Mae Foundation, and Howard University Hospital.

Ayo is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from George Washington University. She believes strong financial stewardship and well-designed operations create the foundation organizations need to advance their missions and increase their impact. Outside of work, Ayo enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with her family.
