The fifth year of the American Climate Leadership Awards has arrived with a knockout group of finalists advancing climate solutions at the local, state, and regional levels — across our nation.

A Los Angeles-based group engaging residents in science walks and emergency preparedness classes while securing funding for new bus shelters; an initiative focused on engaging youth to solve the climate challenges so they foster climate concerns for parents, communities, and decision-makers; and a Virginia-based group uniting people of faith to develop local solutions to the climate crisis are among the 10 programs recognized as finalists by the American Climate Leadership Awards in year 5.

Since 2020, the American Climate Leadership Awards, a program of ecoAmerica, has recognized over 150 outstanding local, state, and regional initiatives propelling climate solutions while at the same time broadening participation. Each year, ecoAmerica selects and awards $175,000 in cash prizes. This year, ecoAmerica launched an additional awards category, American Climate Leadership Awards for High School Students, offering over $100,000 in prizes for high school students, clubs, schools, and initiatives with proven success in building public engagement and/or political will for climate action, advocacy, preparedness, or resilience.

Watch the awards broadcasts to hear the runner-up and winners in each category announced live from Washington DC. Two winners and one runner-up will walk away with $100,000 to continue their climate solutions work.
