Congress is headed home for August, and when they return they will make the most important decisions yet for our climate and our future. Congress needs to hear from us, NOW. The administration’s delayed climate action will pick up again in the fall, and robust public support will ensure bold and equitable climate solutions that benefit everyone. We stand together on this. 78% of Americans now say they are personally concerned about climate change. 96% of us believe we have a right to live in a healthy environment with clean air and water (ecoAmerica, 2021).
You can make a difference by raising your voice. This is why the MomentUs Coalition invites you to join us in delivering an urgent message using the following actions during our MomentUs Summer Action Campaign:
Now through August: SUBMIT A LETTER TO THE EDITOR calling on your elected leaders to take bold climate action. Use and customize our sample language, and submit it to your local publication. Share on your social media and invite others to join you.
August 1 – August 30: CALL YOUR CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION and ask them to support just, equitable and bold climate action that halves carbon emissions each decade going forward, restores nature, and centers justice and equity. Use and modify the script we prepared, and invite others to join you in calling their elected officials by sharing on social media.
We each have a role to play, and together we have the solutions and the reach to turn the tide.
Join MomentUs and ask Congress to implement policies that halve carbon emissions, restore nature, and center equity and justice.
We’re keeping track of campaign progress and we want to amplify your great work on social media. Please complete this SHORT FORM to let us know how you have advocated as part of the MomentUs campaign.
Share on social media and invite others to join you, MomentUs Social Toolkit.

About Us
MomentUs is a campaign calling for ambitious and equitable climate solutions at the local, regional and national levels. It was created by ecoAmerica and leaders and organizations from health, faith and local communities sectors to engage a broader diversity of Americans in climate action and advocacy, and make a meaningful difference in the trajectory of solutions.
MomentUs signatories affirm the public statement, engage in the call to action and agree to be listed in communications to local, regional and national policymakers and the public. They will be provided updates on the campaign’s progress, granted access to tools, resources and events, and welcomed into a network of collaboration and collective impact.
