What does local climate leadership actually look like day to day? With the new Takeover Tuesdays Instagram series, Climate Ambassadors are showing us. Once a month, a Climate Ambassador takes over our Instagram to share a day in their life. These stories show how climate leadership shows up in real ways through work, conversations, and community life.

The takeovers feature people across roles and sectors. You’ll meet nursing students, clergy, public school teachers, corps members, and more. Each Ambassador has completed the Climate Ambassador Training and is finding ways to lead locally where they live, work, or pray. See what motivates them, how they connect climate to their values, and how leadership unfolds in everyday moments, not just big wins.

These stories reflect the depth and diversity of the Climate Ambassador community. ecoAmerica has trained more than 8,500 Climate Ambassadors, people from many backgrounds and professions who have committed to learning how to communicate about climate change in ways that resonate and move others to join them in action. Takeover Tuesdays is our way of celebrating what happens after the training: how Ambassadors show up, stay engaged, and keep leading in their own unique ways.

Follow along on ecoAmerica’s Instagram to meet a new Climate Ambassador each month, step into their day, ask questions, and get inspired by what climate leadership looks like in real life. First up is Aniella Fignon, JD, MPH, a public health professional at Norwalk Health Department in Norwalk, CT.
