The following blog is a part of our American Climate Leadership Award 2025 Series.

Carolyn He is among 10 American Climate Leadership Award finalists to be recognized at the American Climate Leadership Awards Broadcast on April 16.

As Co-President of the National Youth Council and Green Schools Honor Society, Carolyn overhauled Youth Council programming for 100+ members and directed engagement with 502,100 students across the US and 60 Countries. The Youth Council seeks to facilitate student participation in environmental initiatives in schools worldwide while serving as a collective educational space to initiate, strengthen, and involve youth eco-advocacy projects. Council members are given a seat at the table with government, corporate, and professional green leaders to create a feedback loop between leaders and the next generation.

Carolyn serves as the Youth Council liaison to PGS’ Board, providing a youth perspective on broader-organization school engagement (green school competitions, Earth Day Youth Summit, Green Difference Award Ceremony). Additionally, she has represented PGS at the UN Headquarters and spoke at the NYC Green Schools Conference during Climate Week 2024.

Join us for the American Climate Leadership Awards broadcast, where Carolyn and the other ACLA finalists will be honored. Register Today for more information about the ACLA finalists.
