SEI Climate Corps is among 10 American Climate Leadership Award finalists to be recognized at the American Climate Leadership Awards Broadcast on April 16.
SEI Climate Corps is an award-winning fellowship program that deploys a national force of bright, diverse early-career professionals to tackle climate change. Since 2010, Climate Corps has placed 800 Fellows with over 600 local governments, nonprofits, educational institutions, and businesses to execute high-impact climate and resiliency projects.
40% of Climate Corps Fellows identify as Black, Indigenous or People of Color (BIPOC) and 70% are female. In contrast to many peer programs, SEI seeks to provide Fellows a living wage stipend to make the program accessible to emerging professionals of all backgrounds. Additionally, in Oregon and North Carolina, Climate Equity Fellows support a network of dozens of climate justice organizations serving predominantly BIPOC communities.
