Zumwalt Acres, American Climate Leadership Awards 2023 Finalist

Zumwalt Acres: A Regenerative Agriculture Community is among 10 American Climate Leadership Award finalists to be recognized at the American Climate Leadership Awards Ceremony on March 30 during the live broadcast.

Zumwalt Acres is a regenerative agriculture community working to develop a model of land stewardship in Illinois that is ecologically sustainable and socially responsible, rooted in Jewish values.

Zumwalt Acres transitions industrial farmland into regenerative and community-oriented landscapes. Acting as a hub for climate-smart agricultural research and serving a critical role in the local food ecosystem, Zumwalt Acres trains the next generation of diverse, justice-minded growers to fight climate change, food insecurity and environmental degradation. Their apprentices, aged 18-27, live, learn and farm together to build a hopeful and meaningful community amidst a world of climate despair.

Join us at the American Climate Leadership Awards Ceremony to honor Zumwalt Acres and the other ACLA finalists. For more information about the ACLA finalists, read more and register today.
