GreenRoots, Inc. are among 10 American Climate Leadership Award finalists to be recognized at the American Climate Leadership Summit 2021 (ACLS 2021) on April 27 during the live broadcast.
A community-based organization, GreenRoots Inc. is dedicated to improving and enhancing the urban environment and public health in Chelsea and the Greater Boston area. For over 25 plus years, GreenRoots, Inc. has engaged in ecological restoration activities, provided educational activities, convened educational events, held meetings, and organized local groups and individuals.
GreenRoots’ climate justice work focuses on frontline communities and creating more accountability with industries that do not have a relationship with the community. They increase communication between responsible businesses and the community and campaign against egregious proposals that will further degrade the community’s public health and environment.
